Sunday May 25th 6 trainers (including one who is 7 months pregnant), invested the time and energy to learn kettlebell foundations with Rick and the Cultivated Strength team.
Pioneer Fit is opening in the previous location of AKC in Seaford NY. Knowing the safest technique, knowledge, and follow up support is what Cultivated Strength and Carranza Kettlebell provides guided their decision to train with Rick.
One of our kettlebell Instructors, Judy Israel, recently completed 5 months of chemotherapy for breast cancer. During this time she trained with kettlebells and further realized the value of using this piece of equipment. She was able to use the kettlebell anytime anywhere and keep her muscles toned and her joints working. More importantly empowering her to realize she could take control of her body and still train throughout.
Judy has trained with me for over 8 years and consistently utilized the benefits of the kettlebell.
We will keep you posted on Judy’s journey as she recovers from surgery.
NYC will be the site of the first Clubbell Yoga Certification with Summer Huntington and Scott Sonnon.

Sunday May 11, 2014, Rick completed the Carl Hart Mother’s Day Duathlon in 1 hour 1 minute which is 10 minutes ahead of his 2013 time.
His training included yoga, clubbell, and kettlebell training along with the cardio and swimming needed for the event.
Next event for Rick will be the Mighty Montalk on June 14, 2014.
Saturday and Sunday May 10th and 11th Rick and I attended the NYC Clubbell Athletics
Certification. Emily and Angela Fisher were our instructors and made the weekend interesting and informative.
It was a group of fitness professionals and each one brought something to the event. Brie Helmuth was one who stood out in the group. She had taken Scott Sonnon’s Tacfit and Summer Huntington’s Clubbell Yoga Certifications as well.
The information we were given will enhance my clubbell and Indian club training.
